Variants of superstructures
In addition to wheeled armored vehicles and armored cabins for Tatra vehicles, TATRA DEFENCE VEHICLE (TDV) also develops and manufactures specialized hardened body superstructures for installation on Tatra chassis in configurations such as 4×4, 6×6, and 8×8 or more. These structures, which offer ballistic and anti-mine protection up to level 2 according to STANAG 4569 standards, are utilized for various purposes including as carriers for electronic systems, workshop vehicles, support, or command platforms.
The reference programme in this area is the STARKOM vehicles for electronic warfare and jamming on Tatra Force chassis, for which TDV has developed a special hardened body containing operator stations and high-end electronic equipment. TDV has also developed an automatic vehicle levelling system for this project. In addition, TDV develops and manufactures robust aluminium containers with a wide range of applications.
