TATRA DEFENCE VEHICLE a.s. (TDV) is headquartered in Kopřivnice near the Tatra Trucks automobile factory. It is part of the industrial-technological holding Czechoslovak Group. TDV focuses on the development and production of military and special ground vehicles, primarily on wheeled chassis. In addition to manufacturing special military vehicles, it also performs repairs and modernizations of these vehicles.
We specialize in the development, production, general repairs, and modernizations predominantly of armored and special vehicles for the needs of the Czech Republic Army and for export.
The TITUS 6×6 armored vehicle belongs to the MRAV (Multi-Role Armoured Vehicle) category and is characterized by its versatility, strong armor, and high level of crew protection. Despite its weight, it maintains excellent mobility and off-road capability. It is a collaborative effort involving TATRA DEFENCE VEHICLE, Tatra Trucks, the French corporation Nexter Systems, and other entities within the Czech defense industry. It has been adopted in various configurations by the Czech Republic Army and other armed forces.
The TADEAS 6×6 is a top product in the market of special vehicles, known for its exceptional adaptability and high performance. Developed by TATRA DEFENCE VEHICLE a.s., the vehicle can reach speeds up to 120 km/h on hard surfaces and has a load capacity of up to 10 tons, showcasing its speed and load capacity. Its modular design allows for customization for various missions, while advanced technologies such as a more powerful Caterpillar engine, steerable first and third axles, and a vehicle camera system ensure excellent maneuverability and terrain handling. TATRA DEFENCE VEHICLE a.s. is the exclusive distributor of this vehicle.
The Pandur II 8×8 vehicle is a versatile armored wheeled platform available in various configurations. TATRA DEFENCE VEHICLE holds the know-how and technologies for producing and developing different versions of the Pandur II 8×8, including its modernization and conversions, under a license from General Dynamics European Land Systems. The Pandur II 8×8 is a key component of the ground forces arsenal of the Czech Republic Army, and is also in use by armed forces internationally. TDV is currently developing a new generation of the vehicle, named PANDUR II 8×8 EVO.
The Gepard light combat vehicle is designed for use by airborne and special forces, offering excellent mobility, a high degree of ballistic and anti-mine protection, and a significant payload capacity. TATRA DEFENCE VEHICLE collaborates with Dajbych Plus and other Czech and international partners in developing and manufacturing the Gepard vehicles. The Gepard vehicle is proposed to the Czech Republic Army as a replacement for the currently used special versions of Land Rover Defender vehicles.
TATRA DEFENCE VEHICLE (TDV) develops and manufactures armored cabins with various levels of ballistic and anti-mine resistance according to STANAG standards for different Tatra vehicle model lines. This includes modifications and interior adjustments to ensure compatibility with the interiors of standard cabins. The specific model lines include Tatra Force, Tatra Phoenix, and Tatra Tactic.
In addition to wheeled armored vehicles and armored cabins for Tatra vehicles, TATRA DEFENCE VEHICLE (TDV) also develops and manufactures specialized hardened body superstructures for installation on Tatra chassis in configurations such as 4×4, 6×6, and 8×8 or more. These structures, which offer ballistic and anti-mine protection up to level 2 according to STANAG 4569 standards, are utilized for various purposes including as carriers for electronic systems, workshop vehicles, support, or command platforms.
