TATRA DEFENCE VEHICLE a.s. (TDV), located in Kopřivnice near Tatra Trucks, is part of the Czechoslovak Group. It specializes in the development and manufacturing of military and special ground vehicles, mainly wheeled. In addition to production, TDV handles repairs and modernizations. It manufactures and services Pandur II 8×8 armored vehicles under a license from General Dynamics, with rights to sell in selected regions, and develops new versions, including command and updated Pandur II 8×8 Evo variants.

Another pillar of TATRA DEFENCE VEHICLE’s (TDV) production program is the development and production of TITUS (Tactical Infantry Transport and Utility System) armored wheeled vehicles, based on Tatra chassis, for the Czech Republic Army and other clients. TDV acts as the main system integrator for the TITUS project, focusing on the development of superstructures, their production, integration of electronic systems, and the complete assembly of the vehicles. TDV collaborates with Tatra Trucks and the French corporation Nexter Systems for this production.

At TATRA DEFENCE VEHICLE (TDV), the development and production of armored cabins with various designs and optional levels of mine and ballistic resistance are underway for military versions of Tatra vehicles. In addition, TDV is developing and manufacturing specialized armored superstructures for Tatra vehicles and others.

 

TDV also engages in repairs and modernizations of heavy armored equipment and provides service for off-road vehicles like Toyota Hilux, Land Cruiser, and Land Rover Defender. It has capabilities for repairing and modernizing tanks and infantry fighting vehicles, producing and supplying spare parts, training crews and support staff, providing logistical support, and managing the complete lifecycle of the equipment.
